@priscilladupreez (unsplash) This is an unprecedented time in our world and, understandably, there are many questions and concerns due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The shut down of schools, business establishments, and restaurants combined with social distancing, and self-quarantine have resulted in major changes to how we navigate our daily lives. Families with children of all ages are impacted by these changes. Parents are creatively looking to adapt to new routines to support their children while seeking to establish responsibility, peace, and joy in the household. The balancing act can bring both rewards and challenges. Staying at home and following the directives from government officials is important. We all need to find safe and meaningful ways to support our children, one … [Read more...]

The Shopbop Spring Event is here! I don't know about you, but I get super excited about it each and every year. It's the perfect time to see the latest styles for the spring season and stock up on necessities and closet staples too. I like to pick up a few items already marked down from the winter that I can use now and again next fall too. It's a total win-win situation. In years past I have found everything from gorgeous sandals, Havianas, spring and summer dresses, the perfect t-shirt, and accessories and bags beyond compare. It's super fun to browse through all the categories and look at items by color too. That's where I really begin to break down what I want because I typically have an idea in mind of what I want for the season. Last summer it was a green bathing suit. This … [Read more...]

One Fast Healthy Anti-Inflammatory Breakfast
This breakfast recipe I'm about to show you is one of my favorite healthy breakfast options. It is one of the first steps I take daily to ensure that I am building a healthy body both inside and outside. I want to keep my body as strong and clean as possible to ward off flare-ups from my chronic Lyme disease. Clean eating and anti-inflammatory diet help a lot. Long Ago in a Galaxy Far Away... Actually, it was December 2017 and my Lyme doctor told me to eliminate all sugar (unless it was natural), dairy, alcohol, and gluten. Dreadful news to hear during a holiday season. I needed to clean up my food to reduce the level of inflammation in my body and help eliminate the massive amount of full-body pain and fatigue I was dealing with daily. Lyme disease is a great imitator and it loves … [Read more...]

How to Find the Right and Affordable EV for You

Photo courtesy: @andreasdress (Unsplash) Last week I attended Fully Charged Live in Austin, TX with a lot of folks who already know, love and enjoy Electric Vehicles (EVs). Now, I know that I write about cars and the auto industry but when I polled readers, friends, and showgoers at the event who didn't own an EV the same three questions, fears, and myths came up over and over again. TOP 3 EV FEARS & MYTHS EVs are too expensive. How can I afford one? Charging takes too long and I don't want to run out of power. Where are charging stations in my area? What are the costs and time restraints? An EV is too expensive to fix. I'm going to answer these questions and quell your fears as well as bust some EV myths here. You can check out the comparison of EV buying and … [Read more...]

Fully Charged Live: The Can’t Miss EV Event

This weekend I had the pleasure to attend the two-day event, Fully Charged Live in Austin, TX. Based on the popular YouTube show and podcast created by Robert Llewellyn, Fully Charged Live aims to educate electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts, EV owners, and those curious who want to learn more about the EV industry, the latest in transport technology and clean energy. This is the first time Fully Charged Live was held in the U.S. as it is a UK-based show. The first live event was in 2019 in the UK and was a great success. What to Expect I didn’t know what to expect from Fully Charged Live. I don't consider myself an expert on clean energy or EVs. I really love cars, trucks, and SUVs as well as the automotive industry. Surprisingly, I only reviewed one EV, a Kia Soul a few years … [Read more...]

Did you miss your January fitness and wellness goals? 💪Do you feel exhausted? 😴 IT'S OK! ❤️ I have been there too. I can help you with this part! I was the same way for YEARS. I did so many classes at the gym and then I would burn out on them. I did challenges online too. I put in time running, training for a race, or on the treadmill at the gym. I did Weight Watchers too. And way back in the day I took ephedrine. Yup, I totally did. Ugh. I wasted a lot of time and money. I felt really bad about myself too which made no sense. Then about three years ago I did something … [Read more...]
