Without even realizing I wore a whole lot of pink in the last week. The girls were gone to their grandparents for a few spring break days giving H and I our own mini-break, which we desperately needed. I couldn’t remember the last time we had a cohesive conversation or just left the house at a moment’s notice. When I found myself sitting on the couch reading Elle magazine drinking coffee at 11 a.m. during the middle of the week with old episodes of American Horror Story playing in the background of an otherwise silent house, I felt my whole body relax.
I wore a lot of cute stuff too. I was just too busy focusing on the fun at hand to take any pictures of it. The next morning as I looked at my clothes in piles on the floor I would think, “OH! I should have photographed that!” Eh. There is life to be lived. I heard a quote recently, “Everyone dies, but not everyone lives.” For H and I we kind of go off the grid when we are alone together. Our phones are left to the wayside and we focus on IRL. It’s so fleeting. I did put together some photos and a few outfits worn and re-created in Polyvore just for you! All in the theme of pink!
I threw this on in five minutes when we decided to see Captain America Winter Soldier and had about ten minutes to leave the house. It felt springy and bright!

Getting Dressed
A night out in the city with H and I paired black ankle pants with a soft pink sweater I found at Forever 21 and a very similar necklace to the one shown. I felt elegant and dressed up enough for drinks at Sidecar, a speakeasy that surrounds you with dead Presidents and dinner out with friends. Easter was spent with family and I found a pair of pink brocade pants at Forever21 at the same time that I fell in love with immediately.

Your week sounds perfect, and I don’t blame you for not wanting to take outfit pictures! As much as pictures capture the moment, sometimes (for me) they take away from the moment because I have to stop, get camera, etc., rather than just live and enjoy!! Glad you enjoyed your time “off!”

So true! Exactly how I felt!

What a fun time to reconnect! I never have my phone/take pictures even though I don’t have kids, so I might be a lost cause at some point in the future! xo
