Lace Your Face

That’s right, you heard me.  Lace your face.  It’s my newest venture into cloth face masks.  I can’t even call it a venture. It is a downright obsession. It’s weird, sometimes looks creepy, but totally worth it and takes less time than you might think.  I’m in love and it is with a natural cotton lace on my face.

I can’t stop saying it either.

Initially, it is strange to use a cloth face mask and Lace Your Face by Dermovia isn’t any different.  Straight out of the packet it is wet and sometimes it drips.  You have to carefully unfold it and then drape it on your face, lining it up with the cutouts for your eyes, lips and nose.  Unlike other cloth face masks I have tried, Lace Your Face cotton cloth mask ($60, 4 pack) also goes under your chin to part of your neck and over your ears (two loops to keep it snug) so that your whole face is covered.

It takes about 15 minutes for the 30 ml of calming chamomile serum to seep into your pores. You can wear it cold or warm to open or tighten pores.  You can reuse it one more time making a packet of four masks more like 8. That’s two months worth of professional in-home treatments.  I just applied the mask to my face post-shower and then got ready for my day.  When I was done my skin looked brighter, softer and as if I had put on some illuminators or something. I was amazed and wondered if it was just me.  After I applied my makeup I noticed that my skin felt smoother and the makeup absorbed and settled better on my face.  Amazing!  All day long my skin looked fresh and younger.  I didn’t look nearly as tired as I felt.

Actually, the most amazing part was that my husband noticed the difference.  He said, “Wow! Your skin does look different! It glows!”  Crazy.  And I just want to use it again and again.  I’m sold.  Before a special occasion I will use this mask.  Honestly, I’m going to use it each week.  I’m sold!
