Olive Green: The New Neutral

Spring, means revitalization and pops of punched up color.  Using olive green a new neutral just makes sense.  Seeing olive green as a neutral creates a new way to use those items in your closet and makes it move beyond drab and into a more wardrobe maximizing staple.

I put together this olive green look earlier this week when the temperatures finally reached above 50 degrees. Hello, spring! I have had these olive green pants from Old Navy for a few years. I bought the pink blouse (similar) last spring and loved adding it together to feel fresh and create a look that I might not have last season.

What are you using as a new neutral this spring?  Is it olive green or something else?

Love olive as a neutral! Which reminds me of a pair of olive pants I need to wear. Great outfit ideas!

I love the idea of using olive as a neutral. I just came across a great olive trench the other day and thought it was such a nice update to the classic khaki color we usually see. And pairing it with brights, as you’ve done, really gives it a modern feel. Thanks for the inspiration!

Olive is one of my favorite colors too. Probably in top 3. Your blouse picks are great!

Welcome by tomorrow and linkup! Thanks. =)

I love olive green and pale pink together – I’ve just done some outfit photos with that combination. The top with the flared sleeves is fab. I’d never considered pairing olive with red but it looks great!
