As typically happens on a busy week I try to plan what I want to wear the night before to avoid a morning fashion disaster. Or you know, wearing gym clothes or khaki shorts and a blogging T. Except when the rain happens and you have a bazillion errands to run with two wee ones in tow it ain’t too practical to be wearing a dainty chiffon dress like this one by Everly.
I bought this dress years ago and find that I can wear it all year round. In the winter it looks great with ballet flats or tights and boots. I throw a cardigan or blazer over top and change-up the look. It travels well, only needing to be rolled up and then flipped open, wrinkle-free. It has become an easy staple in my closet. But, summer is when I like it best.

I put it on with the best intentions and then the rains came. There was no way I was running around see-through style as I trekked the kids tutu-clad to dance class for rehearsals. No way. On with some basic black shorts and a white sleeveless shirt.
But before all that I decided to channel some Fosse with a fedora I keep meaning to wear beyond the pool.

So Pretty!! I love the pop of red you’ve brought in with the ribbon – and I love the hat too! I love hats!
Nice dress, and I love the hat!
Today I went with a Mom Uniform of khakis and a polo shirt, accessorized India-style with a scarf and bangles.
You could say I’m doing the same today- grey tank/neon yellow J.Crew shorts. I could add some jewelry but I’m hosting tons of kids today and doing laundry. Not ideal for more.
I love that red sash and the fedora! Thank you so much for linking up!! ; )
