Let’s just start out by saying that this oufit you are seeing was not what I planned. Then again, I don’t plan on having 70 degree days in mid-November! I was zipping up my high brown riding boots when I just thought, “Ugh. I just can’t do it. It’s too much. I will incinerate.” Off it all came and in the hustle and bustle that is getting the kids off to school I grabbed the bright red pants that were sticking out of the closet. I ripped the striped shirt off the hanger and thought, “Why not! Let’s go full-on prep!” Out came the buckle ballet flats and on went the silver beaded necklace, which I had forgotten about and haven’t worn in years. I think I’m in love with it all over again.  It has a certain Mad Men/Masters of Sex feel to it. A smooth low pony and swipe of red gloss completed the look.

While it wasn’t what I planned. I totally fell in love with this look and ended up feeling really pretty and comfortable all day.
