The end of the school year can be chaotic to say the least but when you throw in some long-needed/wanted home renovation projects and a total wasting to your computer via nasty virus it becomes cataclysmic.

That’s right. I got one of those hideously awful and mean ransomware viruses last Friday. And no, I will not capitalize that BS because the people who hold all your files for ransom and want to get paid in BitCoin (grr…don’t get me started on how I feel about BitCoin as currency) are not just thieves but deplorable sacks of skin who hide behind the dark depths of the internet and its caverns. It’s sad, pathetic and I’m sure they feel the world owes them in some way. Or whatever. Go make a YouTube video and cry your fat head into your overly large pillow.

Losing your computer files and all your videos and pictures because you don’t back up your files often enough (yes, lesson learned) felt like the five stages of grief.

Denial: WAIT! My computer is just slow. That’s all. Nothing’s really wrong. begin to rock in a corner. La, la,la.
Anger: I WILL NOT PAY! HOW dare you take my oh-so important Whatcha Wearing Wednesday photos! Oh, and all the family ones from the last six months.
Bargaining: Ok, so maybe I will pay the $$$ for my random sandal photos. Wait. WHAT?!
Depression: *sobbing hysterically to H about lost photos and how I’m not capable of remembering to back up my files often enough….*
Acceptance: OK. It’s done. Let’s clean it up. What can be salvaged? Nothing? Fine. No one died. Civilization did not collapse. I work online, stuff is still there. I will live through this and hey! It’s time for more Whatcha Wearing Wednesday!

I got rid of it thanks to patience that I don’t possess that often and a kick ass virus management team. When it was all over I was exhausted. A day later I felt the need to infuse some color into my life and went with this week’s Trend Spin Link Up prompt for neon color.
