We went out and got our tree this weekend. The weather was so warm we had all the windows open while we blasted Christmas music and decorated the tree and house. I loved it. I could do without the frigid temps and blasting wind and rain that have come in that unseasonable wake.
No matter. It’s that time of year when we can get a bit crazed. I know I felt a massive sense of anxiety on Monday. My brain panicked with the whole idea, “DECEMBER IS HERE!!! Get all the Christmas stuff done TODAY!” Crazy, isn’t it? I mean why? I should just kick back and enjoy the season. Simplify it beyond the fact that I kicked Christmas cards out the window because the idea just makes me cranky and super stressed. No professional photos done this year, no stunning vacation pics taken. Zip. Zilch. And it’s OK.
Ain’t nobody got time for that, especially during the season of perpetual hope.
And what’s more simple than black and white?

Oh Vicki, you and the tree are both so pretty. Houndstooth is one of my most favorite prints. I especially love it in a dress or skirt. You look great. =) You did a great job with the tree, also.

Hello and nice meeting you! You made me laugh because I felt the same way this past weekend. I had planned on relaxing and watching the Christmas movies I had already recorded and all the sudden I panicked about not being ready for Christmas, got my decoration out of the attic and the end of Sunday evening all was up and ready! Oh well… so much for a relaxing weekend! I haven’t done cards yet but I guess that will happen next weekend. I think we all women are wired the same way, at least on one way or another:-) Love your outfit today. So chic and elegant. I really like the hounds tooth skirt. It is super cute and fits you so well. Have a blessed Wednesday! Jeannette
