A few weeks back I sent out a plea for help with my outfit for H’s work winter social. I wanted something with a bit of an edge, something suitable and versatile and also, warm. Because let’s face it the Capital has been C-O-L-D lately. It doesn’t suit me but I can’t change it.
I was in love with this over the knee leather skirt from Boohoo-
I bought this one from SheInside instead because I couldn’t resist white floral one. They are both gorgeous and fit perfectly. Then instead of the pink sweater option I worked on in Polyvore I took Aracely’s advice and paired the leather skirt with lace. A lace dress to be exact. I’ve had it forever and have yet to wear it as a stand alone dress. I think it worked out well. H and I had a fabulous time together at the party and after when we rounded out the night sitting in an IHOP eating breakfast at 1 a.m. knowing that thanks to grandparents we could sleep in on Sunday.
