I am by no means a hair styling guru.  Half the time I wear my hair straightened or up in a bun or ponytail.  That’s just life.  I was intrigued though by Tools by Conair.  They are offering up a new generation of styling tools that help you have  flawless, fabulous and healthy looking hair. Yes, please!

I tried out the John Frieda Salon Shape Hot Air Brush.  Here’s what I thought.

Using a lot of ionic power and technology (50 plus ions) it has more anti-frizz conditioning than your average hair dryer.  It has an exclusive ceramic titanium coating that makes it durable.  Initially, I was not so sure about this styling tool.  I sometimes get my medium-length, fine hair really tangled up using brushes like this.  In the past it has been a real mess.  But, I was game to try something new.  If it created frizz-free results then I could possibly stop using my straightener so much.

The Hot Air Brush ($39.99) has a 1″ barrel that is really sleek.  It has a cool button and can be set to create more volume, waves and curls depending on the heat.  I suggest using it on hair that is damp but not wet.  It just takes too long.  I found it also is harder to dry straight from the top to create crown volume but bending my head over works.  I absolutely love how my hair was indeed sleek, frizz-free and really soft and shiny.  More so than when I use a regular hair dryer.

The John Frieda Hot Air Brush eliminated time, the need for a hair iron and added healthy shine to my hair.  It created a nice look to my hair that was soft, full and easier than all the steps I was taking on a daily basis. I will definitely use this for travel and many mornings when I’m pressed for time.

You can see how it is really used on Make-up University’s video here.
