It’s the holiday season…. I can hear the tune playing in my head as I think about what the girls will wear this upcoming Thanksgiving. While the youngest girls are pretty set for picture worthy clothes my oldest is becoming harder to buy for and I am often torn between what I think is cute and age-appropriate and what she desires. It was all about getting warm and cozy when I first walked in. I’m not kidding, I tossed a 2-pack of undershirts into my bag. Then I remembered the most recent battle with my oldest just that morning. “I CANNOT WEAR THESE SHOES! Black and pink do NOT match, MOM!” Oy. I replied with, “I write about this stuff for a living, I think I know a classic color combination when I see one.” It didn’t end well. After three outfits and a few hurled pairs of shoes she was off to school. It was then I saw the sparkle knit hat. Perfection! I had a feeling it was going to be a hit. I was not wrong. From there I picked up a few more items. When all was said and done I spent $98. I threw the purple bracelet in for a total of $108 and walked out the door feeling really satisfied.
Happy to head off to school! No fights and no tears on the clothing. Oshkosh B’gosh has never let us down. My three year-old will be wearing a dress this Christmas that each of her other sisters wore in years past. It still looks like new and you can’t beat the prices. The re-designed and highly organized store near me keeps me coming back.
