Between Christmas and New Year’s Eve more make-up arrives at my front door for review than anything else. Next, comes skin care, which we all just need for the frigid winter months, right? Right.
This week I’m talking about Manna Kadar Cosmetics, which likes to keep beauty simplified. Created by celebrity make-up artist Manna Kadar she likes to bring fun, function and lots of femininity to her products. Let’s take a look!
Last year I tested Manna Kadar Sheer Glo ($29), an incandescent highlighter liquid that gives a radiant glow to skin that lights it up in a soft, diffused way. No harsh shimmer and glitter flecks here. I love that you can mix it with body lotion (perfect for evening events!) or create a dewy look when mixed with foundation. It is a universal shade that is soft and subtle. Fabulous! I feel like every woman needs this, especially if you are over 35, and should use it for nights out or days when you feel like you look less than your best. Hello, late nights and early mornings.
This time I sampled the Priming Glossware ($19), Step 3 as well, which should be used with a primer first and a polish second before applying this last step of full color. It is a long-lasting gloss when used properly. If not, it is just a gloss that is highly pigmented and full of shine. It is also paraben and cruelty-free. YES! I love High Speed with its sparkle and shine. It is a darker red gloss just perfect for this time of year. No strange scent, no sticky feeling and just great color.
One of my favorite Manna Kadar products is Camera Ready ($42), a silicone based primer that can be used as a finishing serum or under make-up for a look that lasts all day. The older I get the more I need a product that diffuses the effects of my larger pores and creates a shine-free finish to my face that has staying power. Even when I’m not wearing make-up I like to use Camera Ready because it blurs those fine lines while neutralizing my skin tone. Makes me feel a bit younger and more ready to go even on those rougher, no sleep days. AMEN! Also? I don’t even feel it and it works like magic on my chest too. LOVE IT!
What are you totally in love with this winter? I want to hear what your favorite, can’t live without products are for now and 2014!

Very interesting. I might just have to look into some of this stuff, especially the Camera Ready or the Sheer Glo. I’m not one to want to wear a ton of makeup but feel I need to the older I get because of the tired eyes that I always have. Nice to hear about this product and how much you like it (since I know how picky you are about what you put on and in your body).

YES! I find this too Ashley. I now wear foundation almost every day just to even things out, hide dark spots, etc. Plus, my skin tone is really uneven as I age. Using a primer, my all-time fave is Makeup Forever brand because it works, moisturizes without shine and has a really nice aloe scent. But this one is next in line. Same for the Sheer Glo, and it is less expensive than the Nars pinkish-gold one I sometimes use.
