This week it is all about face time. I have two facial scrubs from St. Ives and a Wei East Silver Sensation lipstick for you to check out, so let’s get started!
The tagline for Wei East Silver and Gold Sensation lipsticks is about causing your own sensation and I think that is exactly what happened when my friend tested out the product with me. She came over one night to hang out. I gave her the extra tube of Silver Sensation I received and she wore it to work the next day. This girl is not a lipstick girl and the Wei Silver Sensation ($12) went on creamy and lightweight. It went from pale pink to bright pink in minutes and stayed put all day long. Her office went wild. People complimented her all day long and the raspberry pink color looked sensational on her. She created quite a stir. My version was a lighter shade of pink that looks great this spring. I like how it really does stay put all day long and doesn’t dry out my lips. It is your own custom color and it works!
You can purchase Wei Silver or Gold Sensation Lipstick from weieast.com or hsn.com.
I think many of us had our first facial scrub experience with St. Ives Apricot Facial Scrub. Back in the day it came in a peach colored tub that you could dig into and apply to your face. There was always a tub of it in my bathroom in high school and college. I moved on as I got older and then a little note asking me to try out some new St. Ives scrubs peaked my curiosity. I tested St. Ives Even & Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange Scrub ($4-5) first and found it to be creamy in texture and softer than the apricot scrub from days past. It has a very potent lemon-fruity scent that I thought was too much but it doesn’t linger. The scrub feels good on the skin and exfoliates nicely. It is a good drugstore buy. I think it makes a nice addition to a weekly facial routine.
My heart though went pitter patter for the St. Ives Nourished and Smooth Oatmeal Scrub + Mask ($4). Dude. I can’t even begin to express my love for this scrub. It is a busy woman’s dream. A scrub that goes on as a mask for 5-10 minutes and then can be scrubbed off in the shower to exfoliate? It is the best of both worlds! I love that as a mask it is smooth and doesn’t clog up my pores. It doesn’t take a long time to work either. I can put it on when I enter to the bathroom any old morning and by the time I have pulled out my outfit from the closet, turned on the shower and taken my vitamins it is done! I scrub it into my face and rinse off. Done! My skin feels new, soft and fresher than before. It’s a real keeper!
You can buy both St. Ives Scrubs online or at your local drugstore or big box store like Target or Walmart.
