This week I’m featuring two products. Philip Kingsley hair products and Mia Beauty Hair accessories. Let’s get started!
There are three Philip Kingsley hair products. I am always on the lookout for new hair products. I often find something I really like only to have it get discontinued or be impossible to find. I tested out the Philip Kingsley Maximizer ($22), Body Building Shampoo ($25) and Body Building Conditioner ($29). Those are heftier prices than I would normally pay and for that money I want results. I typically use a shampoo that helps retain color but with my fine locks this is a nice switch every few days. The products are supposed to help with color retention too. I did notice I had to use my de-brassing foam less when I used the Philip Kingsley products. That was nice! I actually did see a difference with volume too. The days I used the Maximizer with the shampoo and conditioner my hair had more volume all day. Not just in the morning. It felt thicker and retained the style better. Even used alone I saw that my hair had a more polished look after just a few squirts (onto wet hair) than without the product. I didn’t have to use much of it either. Another added plus!
Overall, I liked the products. The bottles are a decent size and I would use them again as it did help my fine hair each day. All Philip Kingsley products are available at PhilipKingsley.com.

Next up is the Mia Beauty Tonytail ($8) which enables you to stop twisting and pinning that little piece of hair around your elastic. The Tonytail eliminates all that and is available in a few hair color shades to match your own hair. There is nothing complicated about it. Just use the Tonytail like a regular elastic and it’s done. An elegant, finished look straight off the runway is all yours. I was so excited about this hair accessory. I do that how twist and pin thing and it never stays put. The day before my Tonytail arrived with its sister accessory the Beauty Bun Ease ($4.50-8 depending on the size, S-XL) I cut off all my hair and so did my blond daughter. We couldn’t use either of the products but I know that come winter when our hair is longer we will both be reach for them to share and complete our looks. Both are a snap to use and make each style look really put together.
