Today, we hit 80 degree temps in the DC Metro area and that’s a first for us this season.  A bit on the late side for my taste but the heat was a welcome change from our cool, rainy spring.  It means (SANDALS!!) that I begin slathering myself in sunscreen from head to toe as I expose more skin during both outdoor workouts and throughout the days.

Add that to the fact that I’m gluten-free because as much as I love my baked goodies they no longer (tragically) love me.  I had a thought this winter as I applied gluten-free lip gloss.  All this stuff I put on my body and face. It seeps into my system.  Shouldn’t that be as gluten-free as possible too? It’s a work in progress, trust me.

So, I said yes to the Sun Bum request for review.

sunbum

It’s pretty simple. The benefits of Sun Bum are just like your regular sunscreen but they also moisturize your skin versus drying it out. The spray version comes out clean and easy. The cap turns to open and close. It has that dreamy coconut scent that we all crave this time of year and comes in SPF 15, 30, 50 and 70. It handles my sweaty workouts, time at the pool and has anti-aging Vitamin E in it. I don’t mind slathering it on my acne-prone skin either because it doesn’t clog my pores. It’s also the all-important PABA and Paraben-free. AND…no gluten! It is also safe for Vegans. All that just makes it a nice addition and future staple in my battle against the sun and its harmful UVB/UVA rays.

Available in classic Sun Bum Moisturizing Lotion formula $15.99 at www.trustthebum.com. You can shop and learn more about their baby products, Baby Bum!
