This week the TMC Blogger Interview Series continues with Tiffani from Tiffani at Breton Bay. Based out of Maryland her style in fashion and home design is definitely feminine, classic and always in style. Looking at her blog is relaxing (hello, gorgeous seaside views!), fun and always full of new information. Get know Tiffani now!
You started your blog to help you express your thoughts and ideas on design and fashion. Does that still hold true?
It does still hold true. Fashion and Home Decor are my two passions. I have been roping party planning in there because I do a lot of that for family and friends. But, in general to be able to focus on the two things I love is truly a dream come true!!
What do you find to be the hardest part of blogging?
The hardest part about blogging is finding uninterrupted time to work on it. Having a 5, 3 and 1 year old make it challenging. They are used to me giving them 100% of my time. When I sit at the computer and say “mommy is working”, well I would not say they are so excited to listen
What has surprised you about blogging since you go started?
I truly expected it to eventually feel like a “job”, having deadlines and expectations (ones I have created myself!), but it just doesn’t. It is something for me, my creative outlet and I am LOVING IT!!!
Name one big lesson readers can take away from your life in blogging.
One lesson I hope readers can take away from my blog is invest in a couple of great pieces and then change them up with different tops, accessories etc. I have invested in a few pairs of shoes and a couple of beautiful handbags like the ones at madame-chic.co.uk that you will see over and over in different ways and different styles…from super dressy to totally casual. I usually stick with neutrals so that I can get the most use out of each piece but I do love a pop of color, usually pink!!
Switching gears now:
What’s your go-to look?
This is tricky, during the DAY, toting kids around, it’s definitely gym attire, usually Lululemon and I try to spice it up with a cute vest or scarf. But, if there is an opportunity to go to dinner or out for a friend’s birthday, it’s almost always boyfriend jeans, fun top and some sassy heels in the fall/winter. I LOVE wearing my heels when I can! Spring/summer, I run with the opportunity to wear dresses, rompers and jumpsuits.
What are you excited for in the spring/summer season? What three pieces are must-haves for this upcoming warm weather?
The three go-to pieces for this spring/summer are off-the-shoulder tops, lace and white heels. I have always been on the feminine side of fashion so I’m loving the off-the-shoulder trend and the lace. I’m excited and nervous (in a good way) to see what I can do with white heels.
What’s one thing you do every day?
Keeping it real, the one thing I can think of I do consistently is stretch before I get out of bed each morning. It may sound silly, but after having three babes, I had major lower back pain (as I’m sure most moms can relate to) and once I received this advice from a special someone, my back pain has been reduced to basically none at all. I also kiss my babes and love on my hubby every. single. day. 🙂
