2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD

Source: MazdaUSA Refreshed and ready for 2016 the Mazda CX-5 comes at you in a fully engaged, fun way.  I admit I was hesitant to drive it for a week due to my lack luster feelings on the CX-9 last year but then I remembered that I loved the 2015 CX-5 so I was eager to see what had changed in the last year. Mazda calls the CX-5 an overachiever and I have to agree.  This SUV handles itself well in so many categories while still being a joy to drive.  First, the Titanium Flash Mica paint job on the exterior drew me to it. It has a depth in its subtle brown shade with a touch of graphite paint color.  When I opened the door I was fell in love with the interior color of black and parchment.  It was a nice touch to the car that felt inviting each time I climbed into it. 2009- It Hasn’t All Been Bad

2009 is wrapping up and everywhere I look there is an article or recap about how sucktastic this past year has been.  Truthfully, there has been a lot of sadness, worry, woe and hard times for so many.  The media, left and right, loves to report on all of it every milisecond too.  It is hard to see or remember the good that has happened.- In January we were all about hope and change. We elected our first African-American President.  A truly historic moment that revitalized the nation.  We need to remember that feeling, regardless of who you voted for, you cannot deny the air did feel electrifying and full of possibilities. - Data and news in the fine print shows that the Dow is up, real estate sales are climbing, the economy is coming back and … [Read more...]

Back to School

I may be a lucky SOB of a blogger for not getting hate mail but I am a lazy one too. Quite spontaneously on Friday, we decided to blow our pop stand of a town and leave our community pool in the dust for the weekend. We headed south in search of cool riverside breezes and the ‘only for us’ pool that is my mother in law’s house. I feel like Wallace from ‘The Wire’ as I listen to a sound that has become foreign to me. It is the sound of crickets at night. Despite having such prehistorically large crickets in our basement that jump out at you like ghouls in the night, we do not ever hear them even in suburbia. I had forgotten lightening bugs existed as well. So here we are. No Wi-Fi for me and barely any cell reception, ridiculously behind on my work.T.D. as spoiled as ever by almost two … [Read more...]
