Cars actually make good Christmas gifts, especially if you're in need of an upgrade! Don't forget to get in touch with an insurance agent to get sr22 insurance or a regular auto insurance policy for your new car. The Deals are Perfect Around This Time Why is Black Friday so popular? Seeing the Possibilities in a Sedan Again with the 2017 Genesis G80

It's not often that I drive a sedan like the 2017 Genesis G80 and think, "I might own this. I can see this car in my future." It's even less often that my husband says the same thing even after I tell him the sticker price. That was totally the case with the 2017 Genesis G80 with AWD. Source: Victoria Mason Seeing Sedans Fresh off a road trip with 'Chloe' my crammed full SUV, I was ready to climb inside a brand new spacious sedan with leather interior.  The Genesis G80, formerly the Hyundai Genesis, doesn't scream "take me on a road trip with kids!". Instead, it indulges you with its soft leather interior and ticking dashboard clock that takes you back to another time.  The time before kids or maybe back to the future. A time when I'm not shuttling those cherubs around anymore and … [Read more...]

2016 Mini Cooper – A Family Car

Guest post by Stephanie from Where in the World Am I?.   Source: Miniusa.com I chose a Mini Cooper as a family car. A 4-Door Mini Cooper Hardtop, to be exact.  Here's why. Sizing It Up About six months ago, I mused to a friend that I should get a Mini which may be enhanced with the help of companies like Auto Glass Replacement Plano, since my husband travels for work all the time it’s mostly our young daughter and me driving together. I started noticing other parents getting their kids in and out of Minis in parking lots and approached a few of them to see what they thought of it. For daily use people thought it was perfect. Some joked it wasn’t a problem until their children became teenagers and wanted to drive the car themselves. While the back seat is tight for three people … [Read more...]

2016 Mazda CX-5 Grand Touring AWD

Source: MazdaUSA Refreshed and ready for 2016 the Mazda CX-5 comes at you in a fully engaged, fun way.  I admit I was hesitant to drive it for a week due to my lack luster feelings on the CX-9 last year but then I remembered that I loved the 2015 CX-5 so I was eager to see what had changed in the last year. Mazda calls the CX-5 an overachiever and I have to agree.  This SUV handles itself well in so many categories while still being a joy to drive.  First, the Titanium Flash Mica paint job on the exterior drew me to it. It has a depth in its subtle brown shade with a touch of graphite paint color.  When I opened the door I was fell in love with the interior color of black and parchment.  It was a nice touch to the car that felt inviting each time I climbed into it. Jet & Gray

sonata selfie

I love the idea of melding fashion and cars together. They are two of my favorite things. Many times when I look at a car a whole slideshow of images flash through my brain. Music mixes with colors, patterns and clothing to form a solid set of feelings towards that vehicle. The clothing can run anywhere from iconic looks to everyday style are right there playing out in my brain as I take in all the aspects of that particular automobile. I cannot be the only one who does this when they see a car or truck. How else did car show booth babes develop? When I woke up yesterday it was gray outside and I just felt like matching the day. … [Read more...]

Whatcha Wearing Wednesday- WAPA Rally 2013

Rockland Manor, home of this year's rally It was a ridiculously rainy October day last Friday. The kind that makes you want to shrink back under the covers and call it a day right after a mug of hot tea. Unless of course that day is the annual WAPA (Washington Automotive Press Association) Rally. I'm a fairly new and overly excited member, think Ritalin-infused Chihuahua puppy kind of excited, and this was my first rally. I had no idea what to expect beyond the fact that I was headed into Potomac, Maryland to spend the day driving cars of all types and horsepower. Mmm....horsepower. Like 429 horsepower in the Hyundai Equus. Leather seating, fuel economy, diesel, torque and superior sound systems. All words that get the reaction from me that some women get from designer shoes. Speaking … [Read more...]
