What I Wore Wednesday

You might call this the bracelet edition.  I knew I liked bracelets but I had no idea until the past few weeks when I started wearing them to add something, anything! to my boring shorts and t-shirt combo that I’ve been sportin’ to take us to Target, the grocery store, playground, spraygrounds, pool and more.

Also?  Don’t wear white shorts to a kid’s birthday party.  I made that dumb-ass mistake yesterday and was fine until it was time for pizza and ice cream cake.  OK.  Let me revise that. Don’t wear white shorts to a kid’s birthday party when you are also toting the two year-old along.  All I can say is non-chlorinated bleach is a beautiful thing.

End Note:  I’m officially over summer clothes.  I am sick of sundresses and tank tops.  I want my jeans and tailored shirts back.  Maintenant!

Shirt and shorts from Target, natch. Necklace is a shell on a chain.

I found a few shells last summer and I mix them up and wear them on chains. I fully intended to shellac them but well, good intentions and all…

Bracelet from ASOS on clearance last year- $8.  I love it all year round. It looks like doorknockers.  If you haven’t shopped online at ASOS (brit-based) then you have no idea what you are missing.  Mind-boggling selection on everything from shoes to scarves, jewelry and clothing for men and women.  The prices are ridiculously good and sales even better.  I ordered 5 dresses last week for under $100 on clearance.  I can’t wait to try them on.

The nails I’m wearing this week. Ok, until today.  Now I need something new.  Colors- Yummy Mummy by butterLONDON and Dreamsicle by  Polish &  Co.

I rather liked the outfit I created and wore this bracelet with but failed to get a picture. It was a navy tank and yellow skirt with brown strappy flat sandals.  The bracelet is vintage.  My mother wore it in high school. I did too.  I love it so much!

Head over to the Pleated Poppy for more WIWW!  Stay tuned for a new beauty blogger series debuting on TMC/MPR later this week!

Oooo, bracelets! I love them but only get to wear them on weekends (otherwise they interfere with my typing). My favorite is a chunky turquoise bracelet that seems to go with everything.
