There are three kids in my house under the age of seven and they all want to watch videos on the computer. YouTube is one of the first places my oldest will go to get her “sweet-making baking” fix but there is a tendency to skip around and end up on a totally different sort of video. The various ages of the girls and their likes and dislikes to can complicate things but LEGO® has created their own channel on YouTube that allows parents to create their own playlists and you can do it per kid.
For us this comes at a great time. While we have only created playlist that they all like to watch I know that three separate playlists will be in the works in the not too distant future. There are tutorials for building with LEGO sets, videos featuring the famous LEGO® characters from the Hobbit, Star Wars, LEGO® Friends, Duplo and so many more. There is truly something for everyone. I myself, often get sucked into the LEGO® DC Universe™ Super Hereos more than I should admit. One of the best aspects of the LEGO® playlists is that your kids can access it anywhere. They can watch is while in the car, waiting in line, at home, the possibilities are endless.
There are over 500 videos to choose from and kids ages 6-11 love it. From behind the scenes to funny user videos there is a lot of fun to be had on the LEGO® YouTube channel. The playlists take mere minutes to create and you can add or delete videos easily.
Instructions to build a playlist-
1. Visit Youtube.com/LEGO and watch one of your favorite videos
2. Click on ‘Video Options’.
3. Select ‘Add to Playlist’.
4. Sign-in using your YouTube login.
5. Add your selected video to an existing playlist or create a new one.
It is that easy! Your kids will get it faster than you, I bet.
