Get R.I.P.P.E.D.

I’ve read that the more rage you have in you the harder you need to work physically.  I must have a lot of rage because I am in love with the new class at my gym called, R.I.P.P.E.D.

As part of my lazy New Year’s resolutions I wanted to see if I could get in really great shape this year. Actually see some definition in my arms and you know, not just lose a size or something.  I wanted to gain endurance. To get there I decided I needed to take a class that actually scares me.  There’s Jungshin but that scares me in the way that it has us using fake swords and suddenly all I can picture is George Michael using a lightsaber in his garage again.  So, R.I.P.P.E.D.  An hour of bursts of cardio and then weights in between.  It is high-energy, of course.  It takes stamina and a definite bit of mind over matter.  It’s all about never hitting a plateau because the work out is ever-changing with its use of Plyometrics, resistance, cardio intervals and use of free weights.

I have to say that initially, while in the work out I found it challenging but fun. I had a smile on my face as I did snow boarding moves, pretended to run through tires like a football player, lifted hand weights and sashayed through the class.  But then when it was over wasn’t sure if it was for me.  By the time I had showered at the gym I was hooked. My body felt taller, instantly leaner, stronger and zen. I have never felt so calm in my life.  It was almost magical and I knew I wanted to do it again.  The best part is that even two days later I still felt this way!  It was only wearing off when it was time for the next scheduled class.  I’m not sure if taking the class once a week (that’s all I can fit in with the night time class offered) will actually get me ripped, but it definitely soothes my mind, body and soul.  I’ll keep going just for that reason alone.

Do you have a fitness goal this year?  If you are a parent do you feel it is important to stay fit and active for your kids?

Good to know! We have this class at our gym too but I have been hesitant to take it. This post puts my mind at ease and I will definitely be visiting next week.

I was scared too but it’s fun and you can go at your own pace, which I love. I went again this week and it was a bit easier because I remembered some steps but harder cardio wise.

Anyway keep up the nice high quality writing, it is rare to
