Glow Head to Toe & Red Apple Lipgloss Review

If there are two things in this life that I am addicted to in the beauty realm it is lip gloss and sunless tanner.  I carry no less than four shades of lip gloss in my purse at all times. Those ladies have their own bag within in my bag!  As for the sunless tanner, I use it all year round but I really crank up the use in the warm months.  Right now there are probably six different types in my bathroom alone.  If not, I’m a total Casper with a Chanel mind-set (It was Coco herself who made tanning all the rage, no?)

On to this week’s reviews of Glow Head to Toe tan towels and Red Apple Lipstick lip gloss.

Glow Head to Toe tan towels comes in light to medium (my choice) and medium to dark. Just like a face cleaning towel you or diaper wipe you take one out of the plastic pack and swipe on for a tan that shows in a few hours. It’s streak-free and doesn’t have an offensive odor. I like that it really is streak-free and can be used on both the face and body. Having to use a separate self-tanner for my face annoys me to no end. I get huffy. It’s no fun.

My issue with this product is that the towels are not as wet as other tanning towels so you have to use 3-4 for your whole body versus only one.  Because it isn’t very wet it doesn’t rub on the same way either.  I found I had to hold it out with both hands holding a side and swipe it on back and forth or up and down to get it on streak free. Not the circular motion the package suggest. Other than that, I love the product and the price for 30 thick towels is about $5.  Find Glow Head to Toe Self-tanning Towelettes, Light to Medium Skin – 30 Ct, Pack of 2 on Amazon or Drugstore.com.

Amor Caliente Lip gloss is the pretty red shade I chose for this Red Apple Lipstick review.  It’s close to L’Oreal’s colour riche ‘rich red’ shade that I adore and I love that it is gluten-free.   The gloss is slick, not sticky and stays on about the average amount for a gloss.  It has a soft scent that is mildly powder like but pleasant and I like that it is so safe to use.  When I went gluten-free last year (because my health dictated it) I didn’t even think about my make-up.  It doesn’t dry out my lips either.  This gloss by Red Apple is now a staple in my daily look.  I love it!  The 100% money-back guarantee is nice too.
