Baby, it’s cold outside! When the temperatures drop like this (read no school because it is that cold!) and snow days pile up I tend to hunker down, ignore everything in my closet and pull on wool sweaters my grandfather once wore and break out the equally toasty wool socks. Boots are de rigeuer. Needless to say the fashion shots have been slim to none.
Honestly guys, it’s not in me either. I took time off for the holidays just like the kids and really enjoyed it. It gave me time to think and focus on other aspects of our lives and where I want my life to go.
Where do I want the blog to go?
What do I really want to occupy my days with?
I love this little corner of the blogosphere where all the ridiculously talented bloggers shine with the latest looks and continue to really hone their craft. It is mind-blowing. I miss it when I’m away because even if it is frivolous to some it is a deep love for others, me included. Yet, there seems to be something else brewing in the background of my mind. A project is waiting to bloom and I need to help bring it forward, let if come together and be less busy in order to let that happen. What this all means, I’m not really sure. I just know that my heart is telling me to apply my focus on my family and our goals, my freelance work to give me some freedom and not be so tied into a tight schedule on this here little blog.
Besides, I want you to show me yours more than I want to show you mine. Collaborations are welcome, features will be regular thing and Whatcha Wearing Wednesday will stick around with a few changes. I can’t wait to see how this year unfolds. I hope you continue to join me.
I found this skirt (similar) at Target marked down to $9! I had to have it and promptly wore it on Christmas Eve (see look below). I can’t wait to mix and match it with other brights or keep it classic and monochromatic.
Shirt (Target), Necklace (Groopdealz), Tights (similar), Shoes Martina (Nine West)

I think it is a few things, Jenny. One, we discussed which was helping people shop for clothes and organize their closets to find their style and wear what they have, etc. The other is putting together a book proposal which needs a lot of my times.
P.S. I would totally love to have you as my first official client!!! 🙂
