When the Colleen Rothschild Discovery Set arrived I had been real hesitant to test and try new skincare products. In the last six months I have finally found a set of products that cured my bizarre case of acne. Something numerous visits and creams, gels and lotions PLUS pills could not do! I didn’t want to mess with the fact that for months (after over a year) I had clear, smooth skin again.
Then winter came and my face became so dry and parched and I yearned for something with a less clarifying power and more moisture. Enter Colleen Rothschild Beauty. The Discovery set ($95) came to my door beautifully boxed and ready to travel. I was elated at the care that was put into the kit. I started using it before I went to Florida, my skin had dry, scaly patches. It flaked and peeled. A total mess, essentially. Still clear though! The kit works for all skin types because it is a combination of various lines from CR Beauty.

That Cleansing Balm felt so good on my parched skin. It doesn’t leave behind a greasy feeling at all. A faint eucalyptus fragrance emits but dissipates after use. My skin always felt so soft after and smooth. Loved it! I loved using the Muslin Cleansing Cloth too. It was soft enough to ease my skin but helped remove the balm and soften my skin. The Face Oil was my next favorite item. I used it before going to bed at night. My skin immediately drank it in and felt relieved. The next morning the tightness was gone. Just soft skin. Dry patches began to fade after two days. I used the Sheer Renewal Cream during the day and the Extreme Recovery Cream at night alternating with the Face Oil. After traveling on a plane suffering dry air and having a renewal facial that left my skin irritated I used the Extreme Recovery Cream and my face lost its redness and calmed down. All irritation gone! I was so relieved. I love that I can use the Dual Enzyme Polish more than once a week. I put it on and then lay out my clothes and anything else I need. I get in the shower, scrub it in a circular motion and then rinse and remove in the shower. It’s 10 minutes tops and hands down the best scrub I have used in about a year. It has only one rival.
I haven’t had the chance to use the 10-minute Clarifying Detox Mask. It is definitely interesting with its charcoal gray color. It is super soft to the touch too. I can’t wait to test it out this weekend.
Overall, the Colleen Rothschild Discovery Kit surprised me. I thought it might have too much fragrance but that wasn’t the case. It looked heavy and like another skincare line that would look sleek but produce no results, just clog my pores. It ended being one of the best sets I have used in a long time. One I will go back to as an alternative when my other products are drying out my skin or need a boost. My skin feels good after each use and even better, it continues to feel good all day. That rarely happens. Colleen knows what she is doing. Her years of experience creating other skincare lines shines through without a cloud in sight.
