Golden Tote Flash Sale

Are you a flash sale junkie? Does your heart rate increase at the mere thought of a new box subscription service? Mine does too!  So I had to try out Golden Tote, a monthly flash sale site that offers up some surprises, deals and new items each month.

It works like this: On the first Monday of every month at 9am PST new totes go on sale. You have three options of totes to choose from depending on how much you want to spend that month. The Mini Tote $59 ( 2 items you pick 1 and 1 surprise) or The Surprise Tote $89 (3 items all surprises) or the biggest deal of them all The Golden Tote $149 (5 items you pick 2 and 3 surprises).  Want more? You can also add items on at reduced prices.

Each tote is curated just for you with stylish clothing for that season.  I kind of love that part.  No sweaters in July!  Founded by two designers from LA this system is fantastic if you love a good deal, want to add a new style to your wardrobe or aren’t sure what your style is but are willing to experiment a bit.

Honestly, I really loved my August Golden Tote and that surprised me.  I picked these two items on my own.

Versatile V-Neck Pink Blouse/Ankle Zip Jeans

I love the super soft feel of the denim with just the right amount of stretch. I’ll wear them all year.  The pink top garnered compliments all day long. I paired it with black shorts one day and dark blue denim capri pants another.  It really is a versatile top and comes in red or gray too.

Top (Golden Tote)/White Denim

Surprise number one and one I was totally unsure about because the boho style isn’t something I gravitate towards.  It worked though with white jeans and sandals.  Cute and comfortable.

Skirt (Golden Tote)/V-Neck T-shirt

Surprise two is a floral pencil skirt.  This is way beyond my normal pick but once I put it on I really like it. I can see adding slip on sneakers to it or throwing on a blazer as the weather cools down and playing it up a variety of ways this fall.

Surprise three really knocked my socks off as you know I’m a total sucker for all things stripes.

I was really happy with the whole tote and if I wasn’t I could just return any of the items that didn’t work out.  All you do is keep the individual items you like and return the ones you don’t. That won’t be happening though.

I’m sure I’ll be back to Golden Tote to shop the boutique real soon.  The deep discounts they offer on items that were not included in my tote are still calling my name.  You can also join the Golden Tote Facebook group to swap, trade or sell items that do not work for you.
