It’s that time of year again. Holiday travel and that means my carry on essentials are at the ready. And you know I am all about organization. Here’s what I like to pack and why.
There’s a lot of stuff that gets packed into my foldable (love!) Tory Burch ‘Packable Ella Tote‘ carry on. I like to keep smaller items in pouches so that I can grab what I need and not have to deal with a bunch of loose pieces. My wallet, antique pocket watches and a pen are necessities. I also pack a soft pashmina style scarf to keep me warm wherever I go. They double nicely as a blanket on planes too.

This gold wristlet originally held my Dr. Scholls foldable flats but I don’t wear them that much anymore when traveling so instead I pack all my rolled up cords. It has pockets inside that allows me to hold up to three types without them getting tangled together.
This Bobbi Brown wristlet came in a free gift set long ago. I always keep these pouches for packing purposes or to put in larger handbags. It’s a trick I learned from Wendy Williams when I interviewed her years ago. Yes, that Wendy. I include a soothing lip balm, travel size lotion, small pillbox filled with pain reliever and charcoal pills for bloating. Mints or gum for freshening up and blotting papers for that inevitable oily sheen that comes with travel.
Throw in my classic aviators, a magazine and my Kindle and I’m ready to go.
What do you consider a must-have when packing?

Your carry on is so organized! I like your idea of putting the cords & chargers in a cute little pouch – I’m going to do that on my next trip.
