I love a nice cup of hot chocolate but finding one that my body can drink without feeling inflammation is a whole other story.  Where are my fellow no-sugar, AIP people at?  Here’s an amazing SUPERFOOD HOT CHOCOLATE recipe, which is perfect for keeping warm this winter. Also, a sweet treat for the month of February and pink puffy heart day.

TOOLS

  • Bowl

INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1 Combine all ingredients in a bowl and whisk to combine.
  • 2 Transfer to a jar and store until ready to use.
  • 3 When you are ready to make hot chocolate, add 2 tablespoons of the hot chocolate mix to a mug.
  • 4 Heat 200ml of your favorite nut milk (can substitute whatever milk/dairy product you use) and whisk to fully combine.

Get a boost of collagen!

Not sure about you, but I’m down for pretty much anything that takes very little time and tastes yummy. With the main priority of food being “convenience” these days, sometimes it’s hard to remember that you can almost always recreate any pre-made mix from the store at home. In comes this amazing superfood hot chocolate!

This mix is loaded with beneficial foods like collagen, maca, Chaga, and Lion’s mane. Sweetened with coconut sugar, the amount of sugar per serving is definitely lower than most hot chocolate mixes out there. All you have to do is take a couple of spoonfuls and add your favorite non-dairy milk or water and you’ve got a better-tasting hot chocolate than you can buy from any store. WIN.

Oh this looks amazing, Vicky! I keep hearing wonderful things about Maca powder and I keep forgetting to add it to my shopping list. I really do want to give it a try.
