Whatcha Wearing Wednesday- Red Carpet Edition

This week I went out of my comfort zone and hit the red carpet with H on Friday night.  What started out as a regular ol' week ended with us getting dressed up in something a little beyond the norm.  I didn't care about the celebs like say, a certain Mr. Channing Tatum, I prefer my celeb crushes to have  a bit more character to them after all. No, I only cared about going out with my man and spending time alone with uninterrupted conversations, a few cocktails and some free popcorn.  Check it out... … [Read more...]

John Frieda Salon Shape Hot Air Brush

Disclaimer: TMC was not paid for this post. Products received are for review purposes only.  Opinions are TMC's only.  I am by no means a hair styling guru.  Half the time I wear my hair straightened or up in a bun or ponytail.  That's just life.  I was intrigued though by Tools by Conair.  They are offering up a new generation of styling tools that help you have  flawless, fabulous and healthy looking hair. Yes, please! I tried out the John Frieda Salon Shape Hot Air Brush.  Here's what I thought. … [Read more...]

Whatcha Wearing Wednesday – Rainy Days

As typically happens on a busy week I try to plan what I want to wear the night before to avoid a morning fashion disaster. Or you know, wearing gym clothes or khaki shorts and a blogging T. Except when the rain happens and you have a bazillion errands to run with two wee ones in tow it ain't too practical to be wearing a dainty chiffon dress like this one by Everly. … [Read more...]

Get High

Let's face it, there are days when working out isn't going to be part of your schedule even if it is on there. That was me quite often last week.  Despite trying to do a 4-week fitness challenge, life just overwhelmed me and I couldn't dig deep or do any of that cliché "go big or go home" junk.  I just wanted to survive.  Over the weekend I realized I haven't run since the 8k and there is another one coming up just around the bend.  Except there was no way or where for me to run. It was time to get creative.  … [Read more...]

Where’s Mummy? Not at Game 2

I can tell I'm stressing out about the next week or so because I'm dreaming about things like heading to Game 2 with Sarah in an ancient VW bug. Did I mention that we have seats right behind the glass and just as we are headed to the deserted theme park where the game is being held (naturally) we lose the tickets out the window and drive into a ditch? Of course we do. Swampy, muddy mayhem ensues. We never make it to the game either. I don't even know who won. Can I call this a futuristic dream if this game hasn't even happened yet? I need some bourbon. The bottle should be this big- Sarah is clearly impressed. So while I'm freakin' out over dance costumes, deadlines, rehearsals and things that really shouldn't matter (like making cupcakes for umpteen-time rain-delayed soccer game and … [Read more...]

Watcha Wearing Wednesday

These last days of school are just F-U-Double L, FULL.  The kids are worn out from special activities, I'm worn out from crafts, baking and end of the year events.  At the same time I am a little sad.  Last night The Comedian had Open House at her school's Summer Science program.  It was bittersweet because it is her last year at that school. A place that has very much become a part of our world in the last five years.  When TD's first teacher remarked that our youngest, The Fifth Element, is the same age that TD was when she started out there I almost shed a few tears.    Onward! New school, new adventures, new memories and friends next year. WIWW Necklace by Jeweliq Shirt by Target Jeans by Forever 21 (similar) Sandals by Target … [Read more...]
