No, not that kind of rabbit. Though that one is quite handy too. The Electric Rabbit by Metrokane is a rechargable corkscrew with electronic display. It makes pulling corks easy and with it I'm throwing in a Rabbit Wine Preserver (a vacuum pump and stopper with vacuum guage) which allows you to see the vacuum and one really cool on-glass red wine aerator! My MIL got a real kick out of that last one over the holidays. It still makes me laugh each time I use it. Thirty Days of Running

My email pinged, alerting me to the fact that there was something new in my inbox. A note from 'Map My Run' announced a congratulations. I had been running regularly for a solid month and had logged over 50 miles. I was pleased and then I thought, "Huh. Only fifty?" Then another voice said, "Seriously!? You are going to put that down? Did you run that much in December? No, you did not." Not to mention the fact that many of those runs were logged on a treadmill forcing me to tow two kids with me and all their gear up and down three flights of gym stairs before and after each workout. That is one of my biggest de-motivators right there. It was my first of many goals this year and I made it. I ran at least three times a week for a month. I made the goal, I stuck with … [Read more...]

Fashion Find: Mossimo Fedora

I picked up this hat for the summer yesterday. $12.99 Mossimo Fedora at Target. It was exactly what I was looking for and the price cannot be beat! InStyle Magazine recently listed it as one of their Editor’s Picks for Under $100 List. I’ll be wearing it to the beach, pool and er, just around my own ‘hood when the temps get warmer. I'll also be wearing the best packable straw hat crafted from high-quality materials, making it ideal for summer. For more fashion pieces, make sure to check out sites like https://www.alpenwahnsinn.de/dirndl-kelchkragen,402t.htm?cat=0. I want to pair it with a short tank dress like this tank dress from Old Navy. Or an outfit like this one seen on the Zulily blog and posted by Audrey (You are in our prayers!). … [Read more...]
Wardrobe Savings Tips for Working Moms with Style

If your primary occupation over the last few months (or years) required more bedtimes than deadlines, you're not alone. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, an estimated 5 million women classified themselves as stay-at-home moms in 2010. Yet, that figure is down from just two years earlier as more mothers return to the workforce. For any mom taking on new 9 to 5 with duties that go beyond diapers and dinner, your wardrobe will likely need a makeover. However, sprucing up your business style doesn't have to drain your kids' college funds nor limit your options. EVEN IF you DON'T have kids but have been out of the loop when it comes to fashionable work attire or just need to save some cash while picking out new items these tips will help. … [Read more...]
Who Made the Cut?

Find out in this week's installment of 'Dig/Don't Dig'. I look so put together. Not like the granola box throwing, screeching beast I was earlier this week. Going off my meds hasn't proved as easy as I thought. OK. So it was a box of z-bars and it totally deserved to be thrown across the room. It hit me in the head twice before that. Now for some Friday link love- Little Ladies Who Lunch HipMamaB and her LaLaLa Blog It's the Thought That Counts (photography tips, recipes and more) Do me a favor and click on the Networked Blogs "follow me" button. It will help me out immensely! Seems I lost this in the migration and three followers looks real bad for business. Thanks! … [Read more...]

My Sick Need

You would think I would be all organized when it comes to my desperate love/psychosis/addiction and over all sick need for nail polish. Clearly you would be mistaken. The sad thing is that this isn't even all of them. Overflowing from the bag the remainder litter my bathroom cabinets and product review bins. Funny thing about that- they are all minis. Even my polishes are fertile myrtles. Three kids in a townhouse and I don't have room to keep them in the fridge (really. some people do this. what do they have three bottles?) or let them loose on a counter top or even lined in a draw. I need help! Suggestions frantically accepted. … [Read more...]
