Who What Wear for Target

It was bound to happen.  I had circled the racks of the Who What Wear Collection for Target more than a few times. Always when the kids were in school and I could think clearly.  Then, the day I had all three girls bursting with energy I decided I needed to check it out again.  Wouldn't you know, I couldn't resist a few pieces. I wore this outfit on the first warm day we had this month and to a local blogging event.  It was the perfect balance of stylish and dressed up without being overdone. Can we talk about this clutch?  It comes in black and tan too but that oh-so-on-trend tassle and pop of cobalt blue have put it in heavy rotation with me this season.  I adore it! Plus the under $20 price tag is impossible to say no to. SHOP THE LOOK Who What Wear Bateau … [Read more...]

2016 KIA Optima SX LTD

Source: Kia.com Newly redesigned the 2016 Kia Optima SX LTD offers turbocharged performance without the hefty price tag that power can sometimes command. Source: Victoria Mason I was pleasantly surprised by the 'Horizon Blue' Kia Optima SX LTD that arrived in my driveway earlier this month. It sparkled in the sun and showed off its quilted black interior nicely.  I've been a fan of the Optima for a few years. It showcases the best that Kia has to offer not just in the sedan category, but also the brand as a whole providing a product that offers items as standard that normally would be considered extras while improving the actual driving experience as well.  So how did the redesign fare? Outside There's nothing I like more than letting in a little light.  The Kia Optima boasts a … [Read more...]

Top DIY Skincare Masks to Zap Dryness and Renew Your Skin

Having dry skin is never fun. Not only does it cause your foundation to look lumpy and unpolished, but it can lead to skin that appears old and dull. Luckily, there are some easy DIY recipes you can do at home to make your skin radiant and smooth all spring and summer long. Source: Shutterstock Soften with Milk Milk contains lactic acid which is a great exfoliator for your skin, helping to slough away dead skin cells so that your skin is softer and renewed. This is why lactic acid is such an important ingredient in products like skin brightening creams. You can make your own lactic acid face mask with a quarter cup of powdered milk and some water so that you create a thick, creamy consistency. Apply it to your face and leave it on until it has dried, then wash it off with warm … [Read more...]

Trunk Club Review

When H started using Trunk Club last year I was instantly jealous.  A GINORMOUS box full of quality, stylish clothing and shoes was delivered to his door with at least ten items to choose from and all pre-approved by him. What the...? We don't have those choices in the women's box subscriptions.  Plus, I hate shopping with him but having him try stuff on in our bedroom was ridiculously easy and fun.  I wanted a Trunk Club box of my own! Wish granted! My first box from my stylist Gretchen arrived last week and I hauled it inside with great excitement. I knew was was inside because the preview email was sent a few days earlier and now I just had to open it, try everything on and I had TEN DAYS in which to make my decisions.  Here's what was inside: Rag and Bone Scoop Neck Cotton … [Read more...]

2016 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition

Source: Autonews.com The 2016 Hyundai Elantra Value Edition shows style and real value in the sedan market.  When it comes to cars priced under $20k or a little over you cannot miss taking a look at the Elantra Value Edition. I drove it for a week and found it to be both surprising and about what you would expect. Here's why: On the Outs Outside the Elantra Value Edition boasts 16-inch alloy wheels and keyless entry, daytime running lights and side mirror turn indicators.  In my tested model the 'Geranium Red' was cheery and contrasted well with the black on black interior and aluminum front entrance sills. A power Tilt-and-Slide sunroof are an appreciated standard feature. The rear center arm rest with cupholders and 60/40 split in the back seat work well and the trunk is roomier than … [Read more...]

Spring Wardrobe Staples

I'm a planner in most things in my life and I very much like to be able to not plan what I wear each day if I don't have to. I know, it makes no sense. However, adding classic staples and neutral basics is key when making your closet easy enough to just grab and go. I love SheIn for some wardrobe staples, especially this spring. These are some of my favorites.               Black Polka Dot with Buttons Blouse/Black Round Neck A-Line Dress/White V-Neck Loose T-Shirt/White Striped Crewneck Tee OMG!THIS. IS. HUGE. Spring Road Trip Style

*Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links.  TMC was compensated for this post.  Opinions are 100% my own.    I love a good road trip.  Whether it is going down to the shore in the summer to visit my parents as a family or taking the girls on a spring break trip. That last one is my personal favorite because to me, spring means road trips.  A time when you can relax, take in some new sights, see spring in full effect and get a new perspective with all that fresh air. Naturally, I believe you need to look good doing it too. I'm talking spring road trip style. I'm in love with ModCloth and their romantic road trip style.  Think soft pastels, boho chic, buttery leather jackets, fabulous boots and flowered dresses.  It's so very spring and so very refreshing.  All of it … [Read more...]

Zootopia

I don't typically review movies or do a lot of kid-oriented things in this space anymore, but I could not resist Zootopia.  My girls repeatedly asked about this flick since they first viewed a trailer back in the fall and I had to admit it looked pretty funny. All About It  Zootopia,   a modern mammal metropolis. The colors, the way the animators created a city that comprises the habitats of all the various creatures on the planet and used their features to incorporate them into the buildings and surroundings drew me in as well as the kids.   Neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown show how Zootopia is a melting pot of an environment where all are welcome and thrive.  A great message anytime, but it’s particularly timely during this election year.  Just me?  I dare … [Read more...]
