Pumpkins Scream in the Dead of Night
It should surprise no one that this is my favorite week in my most favorite month. The annual viewing of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' has commenced. Next up! The Shining! I don't know about you but I have movies I view certain times of the year that go well beyond Christmas flicks. I threw this latest outfit together in five seconds. I just grabbed the closest things in my closet, knowing it was 42 outside and I had a day of working from home and a laundry monster nipping at my heels. I will totally admit it was harder than I thought to give up the gray last week. And then not revert to black. I love my basics, what can I say? I was actually late meeting a friend for dinner on Thursday because I was trying to pry myself away from the black. I showed up in white. Sometimes I go to extremes. Charcoal Boucle
It was totally gray and drizzling day when I woke up yesterday morning. With thoughts of the new style grunge playing out before my eyes on the pages of fashion magazines and blogs I decided to put this look together. Wet grass? My moto boots can handle them! Bit of a chill and touch of wind? My plush pullover seals in the warmth! This sweater made of boucle´from Pure Jill that I picked up just the other day is going to be on my hit list this upcoming fall and winter. It's lightweight but provides a whole lot of warmth with a super soft feel. It's relaxed and can be dressed up or down, which is perfect for my life right now. Life is a Cabaret
What's a weekend in New York without a Broadway show, am I right? A lot of fun, because I actually loathe musicals. I love music. I really do. However, watching shows like The Voice or American Idol is a form of torture for me. When people start singing in movies or television shows I cringe and want to punch something. Then, there is Cabaret. There is Alan Cumming (I am a bit of a rabid fan when it comes to Alan Cumming.) I was heartbroken years ago when I saw Cabaret in DC and he wasn't the Emcee.
