Glam Grunge, Are You In?

I will be the first to admit that I was not a fan of grunge the first time around. I still shudder when I see a floral baby doll dress. Last week at Target I had flashbacks when my hand brushed up against a set of floral overalls. I wanted to immediately flee and find a pair of cigarette pants or Breton top to comfort me. However, I am not afraid to tell you that I am sort of in love with the whole Grunge Glam/Glam Grunge (WHATEVER!) trend. It appeals to me in the same way at 80s Rocker Chic did last summer. I love the mixing of metals, the darker make-up and yup, wearing lots of black, just like I did the first time Grunge was big. The Tuxedo Shirt

Friday night had me running around throwing kids into the tub, ironing tuxedo shirts and making dinner and phone calls all at once. It was more than a three ring circus but it was all for a good reason. TD was in her long-awaited talent show at her school. Her group, having picked the song last November, had spent the last few months diligently practicing their version of "What Does the Fox Say." I knew I had to get everything in order before she and I left for the school while her sisters and Dad stayed home until the show was ready to begin.
