The Quick Fit Parent

 

This week there hasn’t been a lot of time to spend at the gym or out running. Let’s face it, nothing deters me from an outdoor run more than humidity and we have had plenty of it here.

In addition to my Monday ME class (Metabolic Effect) and yoga at home I’ve started to turn on YouTube’s BeFit channel when I need to find a quick workout anytime, anywhere. I love it! There are many types of workouts to try and lots of quickies when you are in a real pinch. I find that perfect for a bit of early (before the kids are up in 10, 9, …) yoga.

Today, I decided to test this one out. 15 minutes of legs and core from Dancing with the Stars dancers. It was a nice pace and a bit of a challenging in some spots. I worked up a sweat more than I thought I would too. I’ll probably add some yoga in later today for a good stretch.

Remember! It’s 15 minutes. All you have to do is start small. Even if starting with a 10 minute walk around your house or outdoors is new. Go for it! Time it. Do it! Hydrate and be on your way.
