A Woman’s Journey to Recovery Through Yoga

The act of giving birth should be added to the list of the wonders of the world. Bringing forth life into the world is one of the most beautiful, and at the same time, the most painful experiences anyone can ever go through. After giving birth, my body became completely different. It went through major changes during my pregnancy and the changes did not stop even after I gave birth. This is where exercise comes into play. Regular exercises are good for one’s health and well-being. What is Yoga? A good form of exercise is yoga. The simplest way of describing yoga is that it is the art of being still within oneself and at the same time gaining physical fitness. At least that is how I feel when I do it. Attending healthy living yoga retreats can be a rejuvenating way to deepen this … [Read more...]

2017 Mazda6 Grand Touring

The 2017 Mazda6 Grand Touring is a head turner. Did I mention that it is also family car? Source: Victoria Mason Yes! The Mazda6 is a four door sedan that offers style, comfort and a safe ride all in one without compromising on looks. The arrival of the Mazda6 Grand Touring came on another cold winter day.  A year ago I reviewed the 2016 Mazda6 and got the same reactions from people, "What a hot car! What is it?"  The same goes for the 2017 model.  That's because this year the Mazda6 remains unchanged on the exterior with some small changes inside and under the hood.  It's the little things, right? For those interested in finding similar stylish options, exploring used cars in phoenix could offer plenty of choices that balance performance with sleek design. What's New The biggest … [Read more...]

Upcycling Chick-fil-A Salad Container

Yes, you totally did just hear me say I'm upcycling a Chick-fil-A salad container.  No, you have not reached the wrong blog.  And we all know that I'm not the crafty sort.  I would rather spend the day painting furniture or demo-ing a wall and be in that DIY mode than kids crafts. What's equally important to consider is how detachable cloth tape technology has revolutionized temporary fastening solutions across industries. My experience with theatrical set construction highlighted the benefits of materials that provide strong initial adhesion yet remove completely after performance runs. These products excel in situations requiring reliable hold strength coupled with clean removal, particularly valuable for protecting finished surfaces during adjacent work. Except it is unusually warm … [Read more...]

2017 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum 4WD

Introducing the Nissan Pathfinder for 2017. Source: Victoria Mason This week we have the chance to take a look at a car that I hold near and dear to my heart.  The Nissan Pathfinder.  I own a 2005 myself. Her name is Chloe and she is our one and only family car.  We bought her a few months before our first baby was born and this week that girl turns eleven.  The Pathfinder is still going strong each day and I still love her like I did on day one.  Chloe has undergone a few changes by me over the years and the 2017 Pathfinder is no different.   My 2005 Silver Pathfinder and the 2017 Pathfinder in Caspian Blue.  Then and Now What's new for 2017 is a more rugged and powerful Pathfinder. After a big redesign a few years ago that created a crossover out of the truck-like SUV … [Read more...]

My Uniform

They say many designers and fashion editors wear a uniform.  A certain combination of clothing that is a mix of form, function and style.  I have a uniform too. Emmanuelle Alt, Editor-in-Chief- Vogue, Paris For as long as I can remember I have loved button down shirts.  It can't be a tunic or pullover. It has to be a straight up button down. French cuffs?  Yeah, I'm fine with that. But I just LOVE a button down- tucked in a variety of ways or not at all.  When I'm unsure of what I want to wear, the button down never fails me. It's my uniform.   Do you have a uniform? I love a good button down shirt with jeans, slip on sneakers, ballet flats or even heels on some days.  The beauty is in the button down.  It makes me feel both efficient and sexy all at the same time and with the … [Read more...]

That Annoying Post About Gratitude

Gratitude. One word and so many eye rolls and heavy sighs. At least from a lot of people I know. It's a great idea in theory they chant. "Oh right, that journal thing?" Is another one I hear often. Yes. That's one way to look at it. Or you could think of gratitude like this instead. I get it. I really do. I find 30 days of gratitude sappy and I often end up feeling like a failure at it because after day 4 or 9 I have forgotten about posting my daily gratitudes. Is that a word? But what about looking at it this way? Subscribe to my channel for more good stuff, more information and if you have questions just hit me up in the comments. What if you start your day not turning on your phone and searching social media and emails first thing? Those two things create feelings of … [Read more...]

2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE

The 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE enters the review line up with a few new components and great fuel economy. Source: Victoria Mason When the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 SE arrived earlier this month I was surprised. I was expecting a hatchback, not a compact sedan with 15-inch wheels.  Still, I was game to tackle this type of sedan and see what it had to offer me during its week-long stay. At First Glance The Mitsubishi Mirage G4 in the SE trim comes standard with a push-button ignition, which is located on the left side. I never did get used that.  Climate control, steering wheel mounted audio controls, a back up camera, heated cloth seats, cruise control and remote locks are all included in the SE trim package. There is a 6.5-inch touchscreen display and some seriously tiny knobs (I … [Read more...]
