Style In Harmony

*Disclosure: TMC receives compensation from affiliate links. Opinions are 100% my own. This week I am proud to welcome Tamara from 'Style in Harmony' to the TMC Blogger Love Interview Series.  1. Your blog, Style in Harmony, focuses on affordable, “every day girl” style. What does that mean to you? I’m from the suburbs and my days are filled with pretty regular activities such as work, running errands, spending time with family and friends, etc. I try to focus on sharing wearable content for “every day” life (with the exception of outfits for specific events). Many fashion bloggers feature expensive clothing and accessories that are just not realistic for most girls. I want to show my readers that you can be stylish and look fabulous with affordable fashion! I’m a sucker for a … [Read more...]

#MayMotivation

It's the little things that really matter, am I right? That's why an early morning conversation with my husband resonated so much with me last week. We're busy.  All the time right now with creating our business.  Some days we can't squeeze in a full 30 minute workout or hour at the gym.  So what about if we only do 10 as the minimum each day?  I'm talking about #MayMotivation. Follow me on YouTube It's taking 10 minutes out of your day to get moving.  I actually schedule it in each day whether it is ten minutes or more.  It is the simple act of making fitness a priority and habit in your  daily life. Even if I can only do a few minutes of yoga or HIIT it has happened, was on my mind and keeps my outlook positive for the rest of the day.  The benefits are numerous from better sleep, … [Read more...]

Colorful Affirmations for Mom

Mother's Day is just around the corner and with it I couldn't resist sharing this set of colorful affirmations for mom coloring pages from creator Sarah Renae Clark, a Melbourne based mother to a little 11 month old boy. They had a difficult start and Sarah ended up dealing with postnatal depression (PPD) on and off in the first few months.  I can relate. Twice. She found that during that time, one of the biggest things that got her through was being creative again. Sarah started drawing and creating coloring books to help herself on the hard days, but the books she created have now been able to help other mothers too. I love to color and I love this idea! She even created a coloring page for me. Now TMC readers can get 15% off her entire digital store until 6/30/16 (It … [Read more...]

#TeamCap Fashion

*Disclosure: Compensation is received through affiliate links.  All opinions are 100% my own. I know, I can hardly believe it either. Here it is May the 4th and I'm showing off looks my #TeamCap fashion based on Captain America by Marvel Comics (in theaters May 6).  Who would have thought this day would ever come? When something as good as what Marvel is doing with Captain America is happening it cannot be denied. It's just that counting-down-the-days-awesome. I couldn't stop the excitement that's been building up regarding the new Civil War movie even if I felt I was breaking bad with my first love, DC Comics. When you have to pick sides I'm obviously going to go with the one who feels the government shouldn't dictate how you use your power. #TeamCap all the … [Read more...]

Carly from Thirty Something Fashion

I'm so happy to feature a really wonderful fashion blogger and small business owner of a personal styling and box service, Carly, from Thirty Something Fashion (TSF)! Don't know Carly?  Well, let's meet her! 1. You have been a stylist for many years. How has it changed since you first started out? My first retail job in the formal wear department of Bloomingdales had me styling women for really amazing moments in their life like weddings and galas.  I adored the fantasy of it all….limitless budgets and over the top dresses with beads, sequins and trains.  Ahhhh!!!! As much as I loved that job, when I moved on to boutique management things were so much more fulfilling.  I saw clients over and over again…some of them would make weekly stops.  It was relationships and … [Read more...]

Runner Style

Guys, this weekend was it. It was all about runner style and having fun.  After months of training, I did it.  My first ten mile race!  I have done half-marathons before but for some reason I felt that this one was bigger. The George Washington Parkway Classic was one I have wanted to run for years and it was everything I wanted it to be and more. I was nervous about this race. I haven't run that far in a few years.  Training in the winter can be rough and that was a majority of my time on the pavement.  When I hit four miles in training I hit a wall.  My body was too tired from every day life.  I started taking Thrive supplements (which I was totally not a believer of) and immediately noticed a difference in my abilities while running, during recovery and afterwards.  I don't think I … [Read more...]

All the Pretty Flowers

*Disclosure: TMC was not compensated for this post.  Compensation is received through affiliate links. TheMummyChronicles.com occasionally receives vendor/ brand sponsorships for mentioning their products and services. I am not into a lot of prints. That is of no surprise to anyone, is it? I think it was hearing that as a kid and then teen I was too small in stature to carry off any type of print from stripes to all the pretty flowers and any type of loud color.  I'm serious.  So breaking into the floral trend, which is so stunning in spring was hard, but I love it too much to ignore.  I'm also co-hosting with Angela from Reason to Dress, so please check her out and join in!  Don't we all need a dress this flowy and fabulous to make us feel beautiful? Paired with simple jewelry … [Read more...]
