Shaping Up

I've been off the fitness rails the last few weeks for a wide array of reasons.  Now that we have settled back into a new fall routine I needed shaping up. A new look from Fabletics was definitely in order. So was testing out Honest Tea Sport for post-workout hydration and re-fueling. A photo posted by Victoria Mason (@veamason) on Sep 14, 2016 at 7:33am PDT The new dark green Salar Capri pants from Fabletics made my day and workout.  I didn't want to to take them off.  The are pure compression and make me feel and look well, fabulous. I love this simple black yoga tank from Fabletics.  The back adds some style while the fit is total comfort. New yoga mat (thanks Honest Tea!), new organic Honest Tea Sport (lemon) to hydrate and my Havianas make outdoor yoga sessions … [Read more...]

Nope.

Isn't it grand?  When I saw this 'NOPE' t-shirt from LivLuvShop I knew it had to be mine.  It just beckoned me from my Facebook feed as I sat on the beach giving no f*cks about anything.  And I wanted to keep it that way as I entered into fall. I straight up squealed when this shirt arrived. When H asked me why I was so excited I said, "It's like my own personal super hero shirt."  It is so very soft making me feel relaxed but also the whole 'Nope' vibe is me saying no to all the unnecessary things that make my days so very crazy.  I don't need it. I don't want it.  I'm over it. Can I get an Amen? August Athleisure Style

Summertime and the living is easy. It's what makes athleisure style so perfect for right now. I'm all about being comfortable, taking the rest of the sunshiney, warm days and spending it with my friends, family and by myself. Hello, Sunday afternoon movies alone!  Through it all I am wearing lots of relaxed looks that are more athleisure style. Lace cut out slip on slides? Don't mind if I do. Summer Vacation Floral with Style in Harmony

Hi, my name is Tamara from the fashion and beauty blog, Style in Harmony. Today I'm taking over Victoria's blog to share a summer vacation look with you all! This past week I spent a few days in New Hampshire with some family and friends. We stayed at a lake house and had a great time boating, swimming, jet skiing and playing games! It was very relaxing. My favorite trend this summer is off the shoulder tops and dresses. This beautiful floral dress is perfect for a dressed up look while vacationing! It's feminine and flirty and easy to pack, throw on and go. I bought this dress recently at a boutique shop in New York City. It's not available online, but I linked a few others I really like below! For accessories, I went with neutrals to keep the focus on the dress. I love cognac … [Read more...]

Live Unlimited this Summer

It's not new that I haven't been my best this summer. That a break was totally needed for a variety of reasons.  When my friend, Christine from Boston Mamas, asked me if I wanted to participate in the Muscular Dystrophy Live Unlimited campaign this summer, I jumped on it. I needed to do something outside myself.  We all need to step back and find a way to help others and the idea that we should live unlimited appealed to me in a time where I felt very thwarted by own body.  A small inkling that is a drop in the bucket compared to what kids and adults living with MDA deal with daily.  So if wearing a #liveunlimited bracelet raises awareness for this cause and helps motivate me to think beyond my own problems, I will do it! Cold Shoulder and Palazzo Pants

One of my favorite things about summer is the comfort and the ability to throw on a cold shoulder and palazzo pants. Perfect for a date night at the beach or at home.  Palazzo pants are super comfy while looking elegant when paired with an off the shoulder top.  I love this 90s throwback version from Shopbop.  It's sexy and cute at the same time. Summer Beach Dress

Packing up for a beach trip, OK any trip, means flat-laying.  Does anyone else do this or is it just me and my crazy ways? I bought this coral summer beach wedding dress earlier this summer and have yet to wear it. However, it is roll and go packing at its best and seems perfect for wearing any time while at the beach. Swoon-Worthy Pink Off the Shoulder Top

There isn't anything sweeter than a cute pink top like this one.  When I saw it on Johanna, from 101 Things I Love, I couldn't even think straight. It was so damn perfect I knew it had to be mine. Getting stronger each day I decided to throw on a bracelet my daughter made for me to remind me of all the reasons I need to rest, take care of myself and keep getting better. These black fringe sandals with tassel ties are not only gorgeous to look at but actually comfortable to wear. Celebrate the Little Things

The Fourth of July is almost here and it is time to celebrate the little things! Like cute striped dresses from my most recent Trunk Club box or the fact that I think the fog of illness I've been dealing with most of this month has finally lifted.  That right there, is REALLY a reason to celebrate. This cocktail dress was so spot on that I squealed the minute I opened the giant Trunk Club box and laid eyes on it. Not going to lie but this month has been hell.  I'm looking trimmer than before but that is what extreme pain and meds that take away your appetite will do.  I would not wish the "lyme disease/pain diet" on anyone.  This illness, which we think we caught early enough, if all caps FUNKY.  It makes you depressed and irritable because the pain is so strong and the fatigue … [Read more...]

Summer Gems with Garnet Hill

*Disclosure: TMC was not compensated for this post.  Products received are for review purposes only. Opinions are 100% my own.   A Rhode Island specialty: the clamcake Growing up in the southern part of Rhode Island meant a lot of things.  Summer was a golden time abundant with summer gems.  Pristine beaches punctuated with salty air that blew warm and damp after long frigid winters.  Everything tastes better in summertime, am I right? One of my favorite parts of summer in Rhode Island was and still is the crunchy on the outside doughy and soft on the inside: clamcake.  Fry up the white cornmeal mixture tossed with quahogs (that's a clam to you non-RI folks) and add a little bit of salt before noshing.  Bliss! To me, it is a bite of summer each and every time I eat one.  Now that I … [Read more...]
