My Valentine’s Day Treats

I'm gearing up for Valentine's Day by buying all the necessary cards, crafting tools, baking items and other assorted goodies and treats. It gets me so excited to start this planning and do these things for others. Sometimes I wish it was ALL I did. Then, I decided to create a handy little cheat sheet (ahem) for me. Because why not? I'm so in love with pink this year, which is beyond bizarre since normally the color makes me cranky, so I'm just accepting it and moving on. This color obsession can't last more than one season, right?! … [Read more...]

Chic & Affordable Valentine’s Day Dresses

When it comes to Valentine's Day all my hard ass ways go out the window. I'm such a sucker for this overly commercialized un-real holiday. Back in high school I considered it my duty to spend the weekend before the big red heart day making Valentine's to deliver to my friends at school. I just loved bringing in some pink, purple, red and doily-filled cheer. Even if the rest of the time I was clad in black and "mourning" something real or not. Yup, that was me. I love dressing in reds, pops of pink and making Valentine's for my girls bedroom doors each year. Let's get excited, whether you are with someone or not because these seven dresses below deserve to be worn and shown off! No matter what! And they are all under $50 so they won't sabotage your budget. … [Read more...]

Lucky #13- 13 Races in 2013

This is the story of Candi and her challenge to run thirteen races during 2013.  This is her story, in her words. Each year, the calendar starts new on January 1st and with it people across the country come up with new resolutions for the year.  My journey to do 13 events in 2013 had a less conventional path than that.  I, myself am very new to running.  I was that girl that used to say “I only run when a posse of angry clowns is chasing me”. My life as a runner began as a challenge to myself.  A close friend set a goal to complete a half marathon before her 40th birthday and I thought “I can do that!” …Having never run a day in my life.  Goals #1 … start running.  One year and a dozen or so races later, I saw a challenge on-line to do 13 events in 2013 and I thought “I can do … [Read more...]

Whatcha Wearing Wednesday- #morein2014

Welcome to another week of Whatcha Wearing Wednesday! I'm so glad you could join us!! The snow is swirling around in a fast, white mess right now and in just a few hours it will be a winter wonderland. It's January. It's fine. Check back with me in a few days when I'm sick of looking at the ice-capped, slush-fest aftermath. I'm sure it will be a different story. This week it is all about more! More in 2014 (#morein2014)! I'm working on a little project about what I want to do, see and find more of in 2014. Inspired by the Mom 2.0 Summit folks and their instagram #morein2014 project, I've been taking daily shots of what I'm wearing.  I want to turn this into my chance to showcase the fashion scene at Mom 2.0 in Atlanta this May. If you haven't heard of the Mom 2.0 Summit (don't let … [Read more...]

There Was That One Time….

I used to write real posts on here, I swear.  They had humor, heart and a whole lot of messiness.  I forget that sometimes when I'm trying to fill space.  When I think about writing those posts today I don't even know where to begin because the funny stories, the sweet moments are all just chucked on Facebook and Instagram via quick pics and fast fodder. Remember when... I got crafty. Sort of. We helped a three-toed cat. In our own special way. I decided I needed to be Good Enough to be Enough. Shared a long ago memory. Things You Shouldn't Do. Check back tomorrow for some Whatcha Wearing Wednesday!     … [Read more...]

EYES by TOGOSPA

Dislosure: TMC was not paid for this post. Products received are for review purposes only. Opinions are TMC's only. Not so long ago I attended a conference and a woman handed me a set of EYES by ToGoSpa. I tucked them in my purse, later my suitcase and brought them home.  A few weeks later I tried a pair out and immediately fell in love and amazement.  I mean, REALLY, LOVE.  I could  not believe how fantastic these slightly cool and squishy under eye-collagen cooling pads felt and worked.  I left them on for about fifteen minutes.  They feel so super good.  The cooling is more like cooling cucumber versus a menthol type cooling, which I don't dig too often.  Filled with amino acids, minerals and natural high-density marine collagen they make the under part of my eyes feel lighter, … [Read more...]
