All over the place! At least that is how I feel this first week of summer. From swim lessons to bubble camp, dance recitals and extra classes, work and our everyday lives I am feeling sleep deprived, dehydrated, frustrated and just plain 'ol scattered. Sitting outside a SBUX until midnight last night probably didn't help but I needed time out of the house and to catch up with friends. I wrote about the 2012 Chevy Traverse on GM's 'Driving the NorthEast' blog this week. On MPR we talked about Being Kind, Being Green, Choosing Cartons, Using the new Red Carpet Manicure kit (Gel manicure at home!) and so much more. Exclusive MPR coupons are there too! At Social Moms I bring out the best Eco-Friendly Nail Polish for Summer. Lastly, there's this great product round-up that I'm … [Read more...]
What I Wore Wednesday
This week I wore a lot of navy blue. I picked up a sleeveless shell from Banana Republic while thrifting this week and wore it to church with white shorts on Sunday. I wore another navy tank on Monday and last Thursday- navy shorts. Let's talking about thrifting. I love it! I hadn't done it in a while because frankly, the stores near me are not so hot. I decided to chance it on Friday when I only had one kid and some time to spare. I'm glad I did because I found the jeans I'm wearing below, the navy shell from BR, a white actual tuxedo shirt- never worn in my size and a vintage coach messenger bag which I will restore. Or maybe they can? Does anyone have an answer for that? If I send Coach this bag will they clean it up? Tank from Target, Mossimo Jeans- American Eagle, thrfited- … [Read more...]

Going the Distance & Trying New Things
I am one of those freaks who gets into something and then I just cannot stop. A sample of potato chips, pfft! Bring on the bag! I'll eat the whole bunny and not just the ears. I will go back for the second piece of cake. I will over-extend myself with work and home life. I don't know when to quit. When I started training for my half-marathon and the Zooma 10k I was the same way. It was all running, all the time. … [Read more...]
What I Wore Wednesday
It's been a busy week and I wore some pretty cute outfits and um.. forgot to take pictures. Including the black BR wrap dress I found in the way back of my closet that I paired with a black and white striped tube top from The Limited. Yes, I said tube top and yes, I mean the stretchy and super tight kind. But here is what I caught on camera this week. … [Read more...]
Lessons & Learning from Debbie Phelps
Yesterday I did the following things- I made plantable paper with the girls. That means we ground up paper, liquified it, added seeds and then let it dry back into paper. You can plant it and in a few weeks you'll have flowers. They will hopefully make great teacher gifts. I made my bed, changed diapers, saw the kids off to school, wrote a few blog posts and then drove into the city. In the city I had a fabulous lunch at Rasika with some fantastic blogging friends like Sarah, Emily, Shannon, Amie, and Elena. Debbie and Hilary Phelps were also there thanks to the fabulous women at the Century Council. … [Read more...]
