Fall 2015 Colors

Nope, you are not mistaken. I have fall on the brain. It starts next week after all. One of the things I absolutely love about this year's popular fall 2015 colors is that so much of it just comes naturally to the season. Olive greens mixed with mustard yellow and burgundy compliment each other as well as mimicking the colors we see outside.   Fall 2015 Colors by victoriamason featuring 7 For All Mankind Not only do the colors have longevity (we've seen them for a while now) they work well together. You can mix and match them and really work your closet. Add some navy or charcoal gray to that mustard shade and don't forget that the light pink that is so popular and unexpected this fall can make an excellent accent for accessories too. If pink isn't your color then burgundy … [Read more...]

Max Jeans for Fall

I love a good collaboration with a fellow fashion blogger but when it comes in a pair and makes me stretch my fashion comfort level, then it is even better. Max Jeans has some fun looks for the upcoming fall season.  Whether it is a new pair of boyfriend jeans that are more fitted or you want to layer your look Max Jeans has some great options. I received three pieces and styled them with cooler temps in mind.  Two other bloggers, Julie and Andrea received the same three items and you can see different versions of the same jeans, jacket and vest done styled by them. If you will be shopping on Amazon, I highly suggest you use hoteudeals for confronto prezzi amazon. Max Jeans Women's Denim Anorak Jacket This jacket is very different for me. Fall Trend: The Silk Scarf

Back in the day I was all about the scarves.  Tied around my neck, worn as a belt or hanging off a purse strap or even belt loop.  I loved all shapes, sizes and colors. I spent a lot of money at Echo in high school. If I traveled somewhere I was probably going to bring back a scarf to remember my trip.  While infinity scarves have hogged the limelight the last few seasons a new scarf style has demanded we take another look at it and it isn't the long and skinny 70's style scarf either.  The silk scarf. That sweet little square, my absolute favorite of all the scarves, is back!   I'm really excited that the interview series has kicked off just in time for fall and we have a number of really fun, fantastic and fabulous bloggers coming your way. This week it's Shian from The Fashion Investigator.  If you haven't read her blog yet then get ready to learn a trick, tip or two.  She's all about helpful hints that elevate your closet and fashion game.   Source: Cottonwood Studios 1.       You write about fashion tips, how-to’s and trends. What is your favorite type of post to put together? My favorite type of post to put together is most definitely my how-to posts. I grew up with a very limited understanding of fashion (really, you would laugh if you saw my high school outfits!) and I love being able to share the things I've learned with … [Read more...]

Fall ‘It’ List

This is the first year that school starts before Labor Day for me or the kids. Growing up in Rhode Island we always went back the Tuesday after the holiday and I swear half those times there was already a frost on the ground. Living in the DC Metro area it is still in the 90s as we jump onto the big yellow bus. Regardless, I'm feeling the pull of fall and I just cannot deny it.   Fall Favorites by victoriamason featuring steve-madden shoes SHOP THE LOOK Fringe Poncho/Deborah Lipman 'Miss Independent'/Chicwish Cable Knit Sweater Dress Beige/Bobbi Brown 'Greige'/Essie 'Leggy Legend'/Halogen Studded Pump/Steve Madden 'Eros'/Tod's Loafer Other Options: Wine Cable Knit Roll Neck Sweater An InLinkz Link-up TMC’s Whatcha Wearing Wednesday is looking for Co-Host’s! … [Read more...]

Pink Champagne Problems

The blogger interview series is something new I'm doing over here at TMC.  I love to find new blogs and get to know a person (as much as you can via curated lifestyle posts) and find new ways to style my clothes and home as well as sometimes making a new friend.  So, CHEERS to our first interview in what I hope will be a great series! Allow me to introduce, Dana from Pink Champagne Problems! 1. First off, why and when did you create your blog, Pink Champagne Problems?                                                               I created Pink Champagne Problems in October 2012 - I was selected to become an Admissions Blogger for my university. Palazzo Pants & Polka Dots

It's true, I've been in a lot of casual looks in the last few weeks but then one day it is time to switch. Running errands is easier in shorts and a t-shirt but palazzo pants and polka dots is a great way to round out the summer. It's timeless and really comfortable too. Tanks & Tees

August, my time for tanks and tees is also known as a month of Sunday's. I'm always a bit sad when August rolls around. The light changes, everything seems a bit drier and I know that the carefree days of summer are speeding away. I must make the most of this time in the sun with my family and friends. My back porch beckons. The pool glistens asking for one more afternoon spent watching the girls play while I catch up on my reading. New projects for work, the house and fun call my name. There is never enough time. It makes me feel a bit of inertia. And clearly that feeling translates to my style. Last week it was all shorts and t-shirts. This week I just want to live in my tank tops and t-shirts. There is no thoughtful curating of outfits. It's what I can put on and run out the door … [Read more...]

Who Wears Shorts?

With summer winding down, I'm taking some time to step back before we head into fall.  It's the perfect time to let you in on some of the places I write in order to make a living. One of those spots is, Social Moms, where I write about fashion and fitness a few times a month.   Shorts Style by victoriamason featuring cuff shorts The Case for Summer Shorts Who wears short shorts? Not many of after the age of 30 and that is perfectly acceptable.  By this age we know what works, what doesn’t and how to work it.  Unless you have mile-long gams and are super fit, short shorts no longer make the “to keep” list when cleaning out our closet.  So what’s a woman to do when the summer sun shines?  Break out the shorts, of course.  We’ve got the lowdown on the best shorts for you that … [Read more...]
