Whatcha Wearing Wednesday- #morein2014

Welcome to another week of Whatcha Wearing Wednesday! I'm so glad you could join us!! The snow is swirling around in a fast, white mess right now and in just a few hours it will be a winter wonderland. It's January. It's fine. Check back with me in a few days when I'm sick of looking at the ice-capped, slush-fest aftermath. I'm sure it will be a different story. This week it is all about more! More in 2014 (#morein2014)! I'm working on a little project about what I want to do, see and find more of in 2014. Inspired by the Mom 2.0 Summit folks and their instagram #morein2014 project, I've been taking daily shots of what I'm wearing.  I want to turn this into my chance to showcase the fashion scene at Mom 2.0 in Atlanta this May. If you haven't heard of the Mom 2.0 Summit (don't let … [Read more...]

There Was That One Time….

I used to write real posts on here, I swear.  They had humor, heart and a whole lot of messiness.  I forget that sometimes when I'm trying to fill space.  When I think about writing those posts today I don't even know where to begin because the funny stories, the sweet moments are all just chucked on Facebook and Instagram via quick pics and fast fodder. Remember when... I got crafty. Sort of. We helped a three-toed cat. In our own special way. I decided I needed to be Good Enough to be Enough. Shared a long ago memory. Things You Shouldn't Do. Check back tomorrow for some Whatcha Wearing Wednesday!     … [Read more...]

EYES by TOGOSPA

Dislosure: TMC was not paid for this post. Products received are for review purposes only. Opinions are TMC's only. Not so long ago I attended a conference and a woman handed me a set of EYES by ToGoSpa. I tucked them in my purse, later my suitcase and brought them home.  A few weeks later I tried a pair out and immediately fell in love and amazement.  I mean, REALLY, LOVE.  I could  not believe how fantastic these slightly cool and squishy under eye-collagen cooling pads felt and worked.  I left them on for about fifteen minutes.  They feel so super good.  The cooling is more like cooling cucumber versus a menthol type cooling, which I don't dig too often.  Filled with amino acids, minerals and natural high-density marine collagen they make the under part of my eyes feel lighter, … [Read more...]

Whatcha Wearing Wednesday- Winter Blues

Baby, it's cold outside! When the temperatures drop like this (read no school because it is that cold!) and snow days pile up I tend to hunker down, ignore everything in my closet and pull on wool sweaters my grandfather once wore and break out the equally toasty wool socks. Boots are de rigeuer. Needless to say the fashion shots have been slim to none. … [Read more...]

Salt-Soaked Satisfaction & the NYC Marathon

Today's guest post is the first in the 2014 fitness feature section!  I'm so excited about showcasing your triumphs and goals this year!  My dear friend, Ann is kicking it off with her story as she ran the 2013 INGNYC Marathon. … [Read more...]

Clayspray the Only Spray Clay Masque

Disclosure:  TMC was not paid for this post.  Products received are for review purposes only.  Opinions are TMC's only.    My friends make fun of me for having certain routines and schedules in my beauty routine. Exfoliate on Wednesday and Saturday. Masques once a week and keeping up my nails on an almost daily basis. I pluck my eyebrows when needed, the list goes on.  They can laugh and joke all they want but the routine keeps me on top of things but also feeling like I'm not losing myself in the swirl of life that is raising three kids.  It is the same schedule, give or take, that I kept before I had the girls. One thing that I have sacrificed is using products that make a mess or take up too much time.  It's just a given at this point in my life.  While I may test out a … [Read more...]

Psst! It’s 2014 Y’all!

You can't do anything or go anywhere or read or watch anything right now without hearing that it is now 2014 and time for a fresh start! A blank slate.  A new regime! EAT YOUR LETTUCE!  As my husband's grandmother likes to say, "Whatever." I'm not being bitter or down.  Quite the opposite.  But I don't fall into the camp that makes vision boards, resolutions or pins ideas for a new year, new you. Instead, while I sit working on this first day back at school for the girls (OHMYGODTHEQUIET!), I relish the silence but still miss their fracas.  I think about how this morning during my devotions I kept thinking and seeing the word, peace, float through my mind.  I want it coursing through my heart even more this year than last. And last year was pretty great.  I cannot … [Read more...]
