I'm re-posting this blog post, "I'm Losing My Hair.  Is My Mirena to Blame?" today because after all this time it is still the most-searched post.  I'm years out from my Mirena being removed and one kid later.  Ahem.  It took almost a year but my hair did grow back.  The symptoms like weight gain, feeling like I was being electrocuted and having a hard time focusing stopped almost as soon as my Mirena was removed.  Some people love this low-dose hormone birth control but it isn't for everyone.  It's typical to lose your hair after you have a baby. Bing in the Classroom for Your School

In a few short weeks my little second grader will become a full-fledged third grade girl. I can't believe it. She ends the year with a full set of teeth, a few more inches on her height and a new awareness of the world around her that wasn't there a short nine months ago. Does that mean that she needs the latest celebrity gossip pop-up to flit across her computer screen in the classroom this year or next? I'm back from Atlanta and the wonder that is the Mom 2.0 Summit 2014! So much love. So much fun.   It was a whirlwind.  When is a conference not a giant swirl of lights, colors, noise, good talks and fun events?  When you plant a few hundred of the most talented women bloggers, some of the biggest in the industry, in one location (in our case it was the Ritz Carlton, Buckhead property in Atlanta) you know you are in good company, fine brands and massive brain power. What We Are Reading This Month

My Valentine’s Day Treats

I'm gearing up for Valentine's Day by buying all the necessary cards, crafting tools, baking items and other assorted goodies and treats. Psst! It’s 2014 Y’all!

  You can't do anything or go anywhere or read or watch anything right now without hearing that it is now 2014 and time for a fresh start! A blank slate.  A new regime! EAT YOUR LETTUCE!  As my husband's grandmother likes to say, "Whatever." I'm not being bitter or down.  Quite the opposite.  But I don't fall into the camp that makes vision boards, resolutions or pins ideas for a new year, new you. Instead, while I sit working on this first day back at school for the girls (OHMYGODTHEQUIET!), I relish the silence but still miss their fracas.  I think about how this morning during my devotions I kept thinking and seeing the word, peace, float through my mind.  I want it coursing through my heart even more this year than last.
